About this event
Rising prices, housing shortages, and inequalities are challenging Europe and limiting opportunities for younger and middle-income households. At the same time, growing energy efficiency and sustainability demands reveal structural weaknesses in the continent’s building stock.
This online event brings together experts and policymakers to explore practical liberal solutions to Europe’s housing crisis, in particular what can actually work.
Kicking-off with a presentation of “Building Freedom: Liberal Solutions to Europe’s Housing Crisis” a new study by the European Liberal Forum, the event will then spotlight insights from the Netherlands where flagship housing policy proposals played a key role in recent elections, and recent progress and initiatives from the Clare county in Ireland to address housing needs.
